General Events & Parties | Corporate Entertainment | Dinners & Receptions | Christmas Parties
We can provide a wide range of laid back swing, blues and soul tunes with the full band - entertainment for your dinner or reception without being overpowering
♠
We are also able to provide a range of reduced line ups playing various different styles to complement any event. See our suggestions below.
♠
We can be hired just as a reduced line up at lower cost, we can include a "background set" as one of our standard three sets, or we can add a fourth set for an incremental cost.
Most often we provide a simple jazz band for the reception or wedding breakfast at the weddings we play. This will vary but at minimum will consist of drums, bass and keys. Dependent on the event we may also add the guitar, and one or two of the horns.
Its all in the title really - occasionally our pianist Timothy will play solo for the early part of an event, and he is also available for hire independently. Whatever you are looking for - from classical through to swing he'll be able to help.
We have previously provided a few sets of accoustic blues as ambient music with just Chris and Charlie on electro-accoustic guitar and harmonica respectively (as well as vocals from both). We could also include Alex (our bassist) on a second guitar, and/or some percussion from our drummer Ed.
Of course, you can also just have the whole band playing a more swing, soul or blues focused set. Although we're a large band we don't have to be a loud band. A varied set list could include the following...
Mack the Knife - Frank Sinatra
The Way you look Tonight - Frank Sinatra
It don't mean a thing - Duke Ellington
Son of a preacher man - Dusty Springfield
Heard it through the Grapevine - Marvin Gaye
Sexual Healing - Marvin Gaye
Bye Bye Baby - The Commitments
Chain of Fools - The Commitments
Lovely Day - Bill Withers
Try a little Tenderness - Otis Redding
Hit the Road Jack - Ray Charles
She Caught the Katy - The Blues Brothers
How Blue Can You Get - BB King
Still Got the Blues - Gary Moore
